- Committee Member

Hon Abdulrazak is an elected Member of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and a Member of the Pan African Parliament.

Born in Ganye, Adamawa during the Nigerian civil war, his childhood experience greatly influenced his upbringing, and the seeds of humanitarianism, political activism and internationalism were sown in him.

After graduating with a BSC in Sociology from the Usmanu Danfodiyo University of Sokoto, acquiring an in-depth knowledge of the various methods of empirical investigation, critical analysis of the Nigerian Society, and approaches to translate research into social policy and welfare, he went on to obtain a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the Nigeria Institute of Journalism (NIJ) Jos.

Since his graduation as the best overall student of his batch, Hon Abdulrazak served as State Correspondent for the Nigerian Daily Times. He acquired national recognition in journalism circles and a political reputation at home that led to his appointment as Chief Press Secretary to Governor Boni Haruna of Adamawa State.

Working alongside distinguished lawmakers and influential politicians, he developed a growing concern for issues of global significance and his vision extended beyond the confines of journalism to political activism for a better Nigeria.

He was Director General of Atiku Support Group – an influential political campaign platform that was initiated by H.E. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President of Nigeria.

Hon Abdulrazak is chairman of the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Media and Public Affair.
